Educational institutions, public buildings, synagogues, green spaces, community activity, neighborhood planning, transportation and municipal services — all of these shape residents' quality of life.
When the public has strength and influence at the centers of decision-making, that influence does not stop at the national level. It also finds expression in the ability to advance the communities' needs before the local authorities, and to ensure that residents' voices are heard even where the decisions closest to their homes are made.
Haredi Kehilati seeks to connect the community with the centers of influence, so that the experience and needs arising from the ground find expression at the local level as well. We believe that when the public comes together and acts as one, it is possible to influence not only national policy, but also the everyday reality in every city, neighborhood and community.
