For a Haredi family, the question is not only where to live, but how to build a whole life within a community. Housing is far more than four walls — it touches the children's educational institutions, the synagogue, transportation, public buildings, the communal space, and the quality of life of the entire family.
Many families contend with a housing shortage. Beyond the pressure of prices and market fluctuations, there is a lack of solutions suited to the community's needs, difficulty with planning and development processes that do not always answer the character of Haredi life, and challenges tied to the growth of new neighborhoods and communities. Often these feelings and needs are left with no one to bring them together and represent them consistently.
Haredi Kehilati seeks to turn these needs into a public voice. The more Haredi members of the Likud come together, the greater our strength to raise housing and community-development issues onto the agenda, to represent families' needs before decision-makers, and to work so that planning, development and investment processes also take into account the characteristics and needs of the Haredi public.
We believe every family deserves the opportunity to build its home in a fitting and thriving community setting. Through organized public strength, it is possible to influence policy, to advance a substantive and detailed conversation according to the local needs of different communities, and to strengthen the place of Haredi communities wherever decisions affecting their future are made.
